We left STARBUCKS at about 9:15. We rode over
the Ravenel-Wonders Way Bridge.
We the headed out Rifle Range Road. We usually stop at the "rec center"
for a pee break.
I waited too late to pee and when I came out everyone was gone.
It was my fault. I strolled away from the group. The group probably
thought I was waiting down the road.
I chased ghosts the rest of the day. I thought they may have been going
to Sewee so I went that way.
I rode straight out 17 north hoping to see the "boys" near Sewee.
Maybe they would catch me on the bumpy road labeled Steed Creek.
Maybe I would see them at the store. I
wouldn't.
I tried to ride as if these guys were riding
with me.
I kept the chain on the large cog in the
front and kept my RPMs up.
I hated the traffic on 41 headed toward Mount Pleasant.
I rode on 17 again and then really hated traffic.
I arrived back in Hanahan at 2:02 PM.
I had ridden from Hanahan at about 8 AM.
Before I left I had a bowl of cereal and an "Ensure"
At Starbucks, after 11 miles I ate a danish and had my second espresso.
For the rest of the day I had a bottle of water and an energy drink like
so many energy drinks.
This was my fuel and drink for 6 hours.
When I was again riding on Spruil toward Hanahan I was toast.
Keeping my cadence high was impossible.
At home my clothes were thrown off and I jumped into a shower.
At the end of the shower I turned on the cold water and drank from the
shower head.
I was "deep fried".

Above is the ride from Starbucks out to Sewee,
beyond, and back across the Ravenel Bridge and back on Spruil.
Below is my route to Starbucks.
Most cyclists may not care to see the sights and people along the way.
I do.
Charleston, America, and the world need to clean up and help people.
America shouldn't be a country where only the gated communities get the
good life.
Justice shouldn't be sold. It is.
The poor should have the same justice and representation as the
affluent.
We are our brother's keeper.
Below is my route to the "start" at Starbucks.
I started out from Hanahan as usual. By the parks and up Spruil.

Above is the route I took to
downtown Charleston and Starbucks at East Bay.
